I have a ...Hi, I'm glad you like the pattern. I have a video of another pattern that starts this way. It may help to see it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e81Ho_hDwFQ

If you fast forward to 1 minute and 35 seconds, that's where I show this kind of beginning.

If you still find it frustrating, You can chain 2 and then work Row 1 into the second chain from your hook. You can close the little circle this creates by threading the beginning tail and running the needle through this first row on the wrong side of the hat, Give it a little pull to cinch the circle closed and then finish weaving the tail end off and trim.

I hope this helps and thanks for visiting Wind Rose!Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01345114690164621997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334660187375665433.post-16330354109734360702011-09-08T18:53:48.206-07:002011-09-08T18:53:48.206-07:00I'm new to crocheting but I love this pattern....I'm new to crocheting but I love this pattern. This is the first time I've seen anything like that to begin one. Do you still do the slip knot or not?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
